R&D (research and development) tax relief specialist Jumpstart has announced the appointment of Chris Barker as its new business development manager (BDM) for the South East of England. His role covers businesses based in the London area south of the Thames, as well as the south coast from Kent to Portsmouth.
Chris brings his extensive experience within the financial services sector, specialising in energy sector funding, to the role. He also served as senior operational manager at Open Interactive, a technology-focused joint venture set up by Sky and its investors.
Chris is an economics graduate who is conversant in French, Vietnamese, Japanese and German. Along with his in depth corporate experience within the UK he has also spent 10 years working abroad in Asia, including a spell as a Bachelor of Commerce lecturer at a university in Vietnam.
