Event to help negotiate the minefield of Employment Law changes

Legal Posted 14/11/14
Employment law covers a vast area, from employment contracts to dismissal, and for many SMEs it can be a daunting task keeping up to date with their responsibilities as an employer, and keeping abreast of current legislation.

Many businesses find it worthwhile to use an employment lawyer or employment law service to help ensure that they stay within the law. Complying with employment law keeps the workforce happier and more productive, and can prevent the cost of unforeseen tribunal claims.

With this in mind, the Hart Brown Employment law team will be running an update on employment law from 2014 and what to expect in 2015. The event will be held at the Weyside in Guildford on 25th November, from 4pm, and as places are limited, booking is essential.

Recent case studies will be used to analyse various changes in all areas of employment law, and areas covered will be: Holiday Pay for overtime work Disability Discrimination: the employer’s duty Shared Parental leave: New rights are being introduced in 2015 The introduction of ET fees Breach of contract and the enforcement of restrictive covenants and right to a fair process Collective Redundancies

As the issue of holiday pay has been headlining the news recently, this will be one of the most topical subjects covered, with an update to get through the minefield of recent decisions and any upcoming changes. Consequently, Hart Brown are offering a free half hour discussion (at our Guildford office or by phone) to help employers understand the outcome of the recent decision.
