Reflect Digital is set to host the first Kent Digital Meetup in Maidstone.

The Kent Digital Meetup, which is currently held every month at various other locations across the county, gives people working in the digital world a chance to meet and share expertise and learn from one another about the industry.

On Tuesday 25 September, Reflect Digital will host the Meetup at The Heart of Flavour cafe in King Street from 6pm-8.30pm.

Becky Simms, CEO at Reflect Digital, will be sharing her passion for all things digital and discuss the company’s recent study on gamification. Becky will discuss some of the headline statistics from their survey of 2,000 consumers and delve into what makes a good game and how it really can add power to a digital marketing strategy.

After the success of Kent Digital Meetup in Canterbury and Ashford, Becky is really keen to bring the event to Maidstone. She said: “There are so many amazing businesses around Maidstone and there is currently no regular monthly digital event that brings this audience together.

“I am a huge believer in getting out of the office and networking with other like-minded individuals.

“Kent Digital Meetup is not a traditional networking event that is focused around generating business, it is all about professionals that are passionate about digital getting together and sharing knowledge.

“The format means we have at least two speakers at each event talking about hot industry topics, our first event is covering gamification and biometrics in website user experience.

“So much networking happens online now, LinkedIn is fantastic, but getting out and actually meeting colleagues and peers is so important. Informal events where ideas can be shared, relationships can be built and a bit of fun can be had is so important to the culture of our industry.

There will also be a talk from Luke Frake from the digital agency, Space Between.

Luke has spent the last six years working in conversion optimisation both client side and agency side for some of the leading top e-commerce brands including Holiday Extras and Merlin Entertainment.

In recent years, Luke’s been combining traditional methods of data gathering with biometrics to understand the thoughts behind the actions of a user, in which he’s managed to get some great results.
