The Ashford Business Awards, which are in their third year, are delivered by Best Business Events and supported by platinum sponsors; Agilis Mobile, gold sponsors; Girlings and Heart Radio.
Tina George, customer service director of Agilis Mobile says: “AGILIS Mobile is delighted to be taking a lead role again as Platinum Sponsor for the Ashford Business Awards. The awards create a great community spirit with all the businesses that enter and if last year’s awards are anything to go by long term business connections and friendships are made. These awards have a positive effect for all the businesses that enter as the extensive publicity around the awards elevates the awareness of those businesses shortlisted giving them a stage to share and engage with a wider audience.
I would encourage all business owners to consider entering these awards as they provide a platform for you to promote the great things you are doing and put your business on the map.”
A number of awards categories are available and include:
- Start up
- Small business
- Customer service
- Hospitality / leisure and tourism / best food & drink producer
- Business woman of the year
- Best small family business
Chris Brightling, head of corporate and commercial at Gold sponsors Girlings Solicitors said: “Girlings is delighted to be sponsoring the hospitality category in this year’s Business Awards Kent. The awards are a great opportunity for Kent businesses – whatever their size – to showcase their talent and be recognised for the energy and passion they invest in their business.”
Businesses may enter up to three awards via a free, quick and simply entry form that can be downloaded via the website www.businessawardskent.co.uk. There’s been a record number of applications so far for the 2018 awards, however there is still time to apply, the closing date is 31 October. Entries will be considered by a team of judges who will shortlist them.
Shortlist companies will then attend a filming session at the venue on 12 November to record a short clip for the evening ceremony. Winners will be announced on Wednesday 28 November at the Ashford International Hotel in Ashford, 7pm-10.30pm.
The awards are also being supported by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the Kent Branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD).
