About South East Business magazine

South East Business is a dynamic magazine available in both print and e-edition with topical news, views, analysis, interviews, profiles and regular features as well as lifestyle content. It is aimed at leaders and business executives across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. First published in 1982 the print and e-editions are available each month.

From providing special reports and lifestyle writing, to in-depth profiles on leading directors and some of the region’s biggest firms and organisations; we uncover the stories behind the headlines.

Interviewees have included Business Minister Michael Fallon, senior members of UKTI, FSB, IOD, celebrities such as The Apprentice 2014 winner Leah Totton, in addition to a wide range of innovative entrepreneurs from across the region.

Each month, the printed edition of South East Business offers further advertorial feature. This spans a diverse subject breadth including skills and training, finance, intellectual property, commercial property, legal coverage and expert comment to complete an overall package of incisive business writing.

The online companion to the magazine www.southeastbusiness.com offers extended content with breaking daily regional and national news, editor’s blog, travel and motoring coverage, plus supporting video material. An integral part of the site is its social media connectivity, offering links to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The magazine is part of the Evegate Publishing range of titles that includes South East Farmer and Farm Machinery print publications and websites.

Christine Rayner

Christine Rayner

Editor

After 37 years as a local newspaper journalist, mainly in north Kent, I was made redundant at the end of 2011 when Northcliffe closed three of the four titles of which I was editor. Since then, I have been freelancing as a writer, book editor and lecturer.

Over the years, I have met so many interesting, innovative and hard-working people and I’m sure this will continue in my new role as editor of South East Business. Along the way, I’ve heard some great tales of enterprise and endurance against the odds and have always tried to find the story behind the headline. I look forward to hearing yours. Do get in touch.

I’m married to a journalist, we have two grown-up children and two grandsons.
